Seeking information on family of Daniel Rathjens,b. abt 1823, while
residing in Porter Co. from late 1850's to early 1880's.Daniel
arrived in NYC 1856/58 with Heinrich, Anna & Trina Rathjens
(relationship uncertain) and Friedericke (Rikke)NUPPNAU, Daniels
bride to be, all from Schleswig Holstein, Prussia. There were eleven
children born to this family with two sons, Daniel and William,
having died prior to 1883/85, at which time they moved to Minn.
Daughter Lessa/Lizzie married Benjamin Stacey GRANT in 1880 in
Valparaiso. Have no info on Heinrich, Anna (possible sister Anna
Christina) or Trina (possible sister Cathrina Magdalena) after
arrival in NY. Ms. NUPPNAU apparently had other kin residing in

continued to reside there into the 1900's.

Researching Jacob and Lydia (Dorr) Woolfe (or Wolfe) who I believe are
buried in Schrock Cemetary in Porter Co., IN.
Lydia had a sister by the name of Rhoda who was married to Christopher
Woolfe, Jacob's brother. I know that Lydia died Oct. 30, 1842 and was
married April 1, 1806. Rhoda was born ca 1783 in Lyme CT, and died
May 9, 1845. Rhoda is buried with her husband at Wolf Cemetary in
Haydenville, OH (but I thought the name might help make an attachment).
