10/21/1996 Searching for information on David YOUNG. Born in Ohio in 1814,he moved to Marshall County sometime between 1863- 1866. David and his wife Lucinda divorced in Marshall Co. in March of 1885. The YOUNGS are listed on the 1880 census as living on Center St. in Breman. Searching for death & info on Joseph Stephenson & wife Delilah Fry.They were marr 1833 in Logan Co OH where they had 10 ch. Joseph first shows up in Jasper Co on 1860 C Barkley Twp. He is on records there buying/selling land until Feb 1869 when all records of him disappear. Delilah disappears aft the 1850 C in Logan Co OH but they have a dau in 1853. By 1854 they are in Marshall Co & Starke Co IN where Joseph buys land (Starke Co). The 2 census records on which Joseph appears state he was b in VA. I have never found any sibs nor parents for him in either Va or OH. Their children: 1.Catherine b 1834 m Wm Long in Starke Co. They disappear aft 1860 C. 2. James Joseph b 1835 m Matilda Fry (cousin) in Marshall Co & he d there 1903. 3. Peter Hardin m Laura O'Lily Wait in Pulaski Co & d 1879 in Starke Co. 4.Robert (my G Grdf) b 1838 m Ann Eliza Barkley & d Jasper Co 1908. 5. Searching for info on Catherine Stephenson b 1834 Logan Co OH to Joseph & Delilah (Fry) Stephenson. Family comes to Starke Co abt 1853. Catherine m Wm Long in Starke Co 1854. She is his 2nd wife. Wm Long b abt 1814. He has son Alexander (fr 1st wife) who later rem to Jasper Co IN. Wm & Catherine appear on the 1860 C in both Starke & Marshall Counties (their home was nr border of both counties. I find them in deeds & court records until 1867 & have fd no further info on them. They have a son Sanford Ellis Long abt 1859. Wm also has a 2nd son, b abt 1851 by his first wife. Where did they go?

Marshall Co. In. Query: BOWELL surname I am researching the family and ancestors of Lewis Samuel BOWELL from Argus, Marshall County. Lewis Samuel BOWELL married Ida Mae McClure 1 January 1880 in Marshall County. Their children were Herb, Floyd, Gertrude and Earl Blaine. Earl married Lela Mae Ringer of Plymouth (she was fathered by a LAWRENCE of Argos out of wedlock). I haven't found marriage information regarding Earl and Lela Mae yet (my grandparents). Their oldest child was born in January, 1913 in Plymouth. I've found a number of other BOWELLs in Argos and have compared notes with others researching the surname, but haven't made a connection with Lewis yet.

I am searching for information regarding my G.Father, Robert D. BAKER (Bob) born July 31, 1866 SOMEWHERE in Indiana. His parent's names are unknown to me but they too were born in Indiana; according to 1920 Georgia Census. He had a sister named Sarah Jane. He left Indiana at an early age and toured the eastern states before coming to GA. He married Nobie Coats in Carrollton, GA in 1917 and settled in Newnan, GA, he had one child, Zelma Louise. I have searched the 1880 Indiana Soundex with no success. I have been looking line by line at the 1880 Census and also trying to look by counties at the 1870 Indiana Census. I am trying to get this Query to all counties in Indiana. I would appreciate any help or information, but I will keep searching. I live in Jonesboro, GA

My g.grandfather left home at an early age, traveled around and settled in Newnan, Georgia. Married Nobie Coats in 1917 and had one daughter Zelma Louise. He died March 11, 1933 in Newnan, GA. I am searching here in Georgia at the National Archives near Atlanta. I have searched the 1880 Indiana Soundex and am now trying to search the 1880 Indiana Census and the 1870 Indiana Census line by line, county by county. WEST I am looking for info on Thomas W. WEST, born in Indiana, unknown county, in 1835. He married Mary A. ? from Tennessee, and they lived near Nixa, Missouri and had had least 7 children, one of whom was my great great grandmother, Missouri Tennessee WEST. I found him in the 1880 Christian County, MO census, but don't have anything else on him, other than his dates: 1835-1883, buried in Payne Cemetery, NW of Nixa, MO. Thanks!
