DAVIS, Henry. I am looking for the date of death & burial place for a Henry DAVIS who lived in Jay County, IN. His grandson, Walter Edward DAVIS put on his Marriage Certificate that he was born in Dunkirk IN, Jay County. Walter's father was David Lee Davis who must have lived in that County also although he is buried in Deleware County, IN, where the family finally settled. I need the dod and the place of burial on Henry. His wife was Corrilda Sublett, she survived him and is buried in Deleware County. Any help would greatly be appreciated and I will share everything on this family that I have.

My grandfather was born in Jay County in 1878. He was Alva James (Jim) Cummins. He married Anne Charlotte (Lottie) Ashley. His father was William J Cummins born in OH about 1853. He married Harriet Margaret Garringer born in IN, parents born in OH. His father was born in Ireland. I am looking for where in OH he lived so I can find when & where his father came from Ireland. Any help would be great.

I am searching for the descendants of Revolutionary War Veteran Peter Mason (b. Lancaster Co., VA 22 Aug 1764, d. Jay, IN, 1843) and his wife Mary Sagarby(?) (b. abt 1785, d. probably KY, before 1839). Most of my data is derived from Rowena Hearn Randle's "Genealogy of the Patterson, Wheat, and Hearn Families,"1926, which includes many other Jay County families: Morehous, Haffner, Hammitt, Brinkerhoff, and Milligan.

Need information on family of Rosie Ann DECKER & John Henry MERVIN who lived near Ridgeville in Jay Co., IN. Rosie born 1873 & died 1955. John born 1876 (in OH)& died 1944. They were married 1896. Both buried Ritenour Cemetery, Ridgeville, IN. They lived for a time in Richmond, Wayne Co. IN. John may have died in Richmond. John's parents were George MERVIN & Rebecca SWOPE, who may have died in Randolph Co. IN. Searching for any and all information about this Jay County DENNEY family and about families (MILLER, RANEY, + etc) that married into this DENNEY family: IRA DENNEY b 1824 in Ohio - moved to Jay Co. in 1847 - became resident of Portland in 1850. Ira was clerk of courts of Jay Co, from 1850-1855 (also served a second term later) Ira married BELINDA A(?) MILLER in 1851. Their children were: 1. THOMAS H DENNEY - (1864-1938) married MARGARET ELIZABETH RANEY (1866-1950) in 1886 He was a jeweler in Portland before moving to California. THOMAS and MARGARET are my great grandparents.
