I have been looking for some time for any information on Sarah ROLF, believed to be the daughter of Levi Rolf, who in 1850 was age 17 as listed in the federal census for Marion Twp, Decatur County. Sarah married John Shouse, Oct. 24, 1850 in Decatur County. Need any information on the marriage record. Could someone give me the mailing address of the County Clerk's office in Greensburg. I am searhng form information concerning the George Anthony family. George ANTHONY was born in 1795 in Pa. He married Jane EVERTON (born 1804 in Ross co. Ohio) in 1826 in Jackson Co. Ohio. In 1850 they are living in Decatur Co., Indiana with the following children: John W. ANTHONY b. 1827, Melissa ANTHONY b. 1829, Fletcher ANTHONY, b. 1833, Nelson ANTHONY B. 1836, Spencer ANTHONY b. 1837, and Minerva J. ANTHONY B. 1843. By 1860 Jane is a widow living with Spencer and his wife in Appanoosa Co. Iowa. Nelson lives nearby and Melissa and Minerva J. are living with Jane. I am looking for information concerning John W. I have a family that was in Decatur County from 1840 to 1880. The father was EDWARD BEARD, mother ELIZABETH SNYDER. Their son Evan L. BEARD was my great-great-grandfather, born in 1837. I have found the family on the 1840, 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 Fed. Census for Decatur County. Evan was married, in Decatur Co. in 1858 to Mary Williams. I have verified all of this. What I am interested in is whether of not there is additional data on land records that I can get a hold of. Evan spent 20+ years in Jackson Township and his father was in Clay and Sand Creek Townships, all in Decatur County. If you can help, thank you. They were parents to Icey Myrtle Lockridge married to Walter "Jack" Campbell, parents of the Milroy triplets born May 29, 1910. Would also like to have any information about Walter Jack's father, John Campbell. We seem to have come to a dead end there. Walter Jack's mother was Lydia Fortune McGinn. Edward BEARD md to Elizabeth SNYDER were parents of my great-great grandfather, Evan BEARD who was married to Mary WILLIAMS. I have located the families on the 1840, 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 US Federal Censuses in Decatur County. Evan and Mary lived in Jackson Township from 1858 to at least 1880. Edward lived in the county, but in various townships, particularly Clay twp. and Sand Creek twp. Edward and Elizabeth both died in the county and are buried there. Evan and Mary left the county sometime after 1880. What I am interested in is possible wills for Edward and Elizabeth, land records, deeds, and tax records. Edward might have served in the Civil War, but may have been too old at the time. We have no record of Evan having been in the Service. If you can tell me where to look, I would be grateful. What I need to know is whether any of the aforementioned records are available and where.

Seeking information on family of James MEREDITH, born in Bowling Green (?), KY abt 1816, lived in Sandcreek twp., Decatur Co. in 1850. His wife's name was Margaret. Children included William D., Francis Marion, Ann, and John. Most of the family seems to have moved to Kansas by the 1860s. The 1850 federal census lists him as age 34 and a blacksmith.
