John was the father of Levinus, Phineas and Thomas W. King.they
all bought land abt 1817, Phineas had a carding mfg and as I unde
rstand it he owned the first steam powered Woolen Mill in the
area, He steamed powered the operation in 1838 and he died in
1850, His son Isaac T. King worked with him for a while and by
the time his equipment in the mill and Mfg plants were ready
to be distributed to his heirs, there were none left in the area,
therefore the Mill was shut down and the Mfg equipment was sold
to someone in Milam and moved there. The Mill was on a river or
creek, with a high side and the rock Mill was built there and
paddle generated until 1838. I think it may have been at
"King's Ridge" but I don't remember if this is the correct
name, but it seems to me that it had King in the name someplace.
I don't know what happened to his children and his sisters their
families worked as carders in the 1850 census. Thank you.

Looking for descendants of Hannah Catherine Owens/Chastain. Her name may
have been Catherine Hannah. She married Benjamin Chastaion in Scott
County on Feb. 4, 1838. She was born circa 1820. She died Dec. 14,
1869. She applied for a pension from her deceased son, Matthew Chastain,
who was killed in the Civil War. She applied for the pension in Trimble
County Kentucky, saying she was living on the Carrollton Rd. at Bedford,
Ky., but she gave her postal address as Saluda Twp., Jefferson County,
IN. She said it was about 20 miles from Madison, and about six miles
from the Ohio River on the Bethlehem Rd. She and Benjamin lived mostly in
Jefferson County from the time of their marriage until her death in 1869.
They had ten children. I would like tI know who Hannah's parents were
and where her grave is located.

I am looking for the father for Milton BODINE born 7 Oct 1842 in Logan,
Dearborn Co., Ind, died 23 Jan 1917 in Quincy, Adams Co., Ill, and
married Virginia CLOUD on 12 Oct 1865 in Logan, Dearborn, Ind. (but I
found a marriage record for Milton and a Jane A. CLOUD, not Virginia)
Milton's mother was Sarah Ann BOATMAN bron 1825 in Ohio. She also
married Samuel RUDISAL on 5 Aug 1848. According to the 1850 census,
there were two families living in the same house: Claudius BOATMAN, his
wife Nancy (these are Sarah Ann's parents), Charlotte, Eliza, Hannah,
James, Mary E., Sarah C. William C, and Cynthia (Sarah Ann's silbings),
and Ann RUDISAL (Sarah Ann herself), Milton RUDISAL (but all his other
records is Milton BODINE), George RUDISAL (his marriage record is George
BOATMAN), and Mary RUDISAL (diffently a Rudisal).
I guess I am looking for Milton BODINE's father, the complete information
on his mother Sarah Ann BOATMAN, who's father is George's, and is Jane A.
CLOUDd the same as Virginia CLOUD?. If any one can help me unravel this
mess I have, I would be very grateful.
