MONROE COUNTY Seeking info. re. ancestors named Schwartz (earlier Swartz) Lived in Monroe Cty. around Knight Ridge and Schwartz Rd. Known ancestors incl. John Henry Schwartz (jr. and sr.) and Valentine Swartz. Were prob. mostly farmers. Several descendents of these moved to south side of Indianapolis after 1910. My father was born George Edward Schwartz and later adopted by Collins' after auto/train accident killed parents, John and Pearl (nee Corman). Also seeking info. regarding Corman family ancestors of Pearl (possibly Frank Corman).

I am looking for infromation on NANCY M. SHIPLEY. Born 1824 in Indiana. She married DANIEL J. STOUT on 12 Mar 1846 in Monroe Co., Indiana. I have no other information on her. I believe she in buried at the cemetery on Stout's Creek road just off on Hy. 46. but am not sure of that either

Seeking information about Schwartz family and Corman family in Monroe Cty. IN. Specifically, I have some info. re. family of John Schwartz, Sr. and his son, my grandfather, John Henry Schwartz and his wife Pearl, nee Corman. Their ancestor was one Valentine Swartz (wife Nancy, nee Merick). Where and when were V.S. and N.S. born? Did they move to Monroe Cty from somewhere else? Where did they live in Monroe Cty? Where is he buried? Where did the Schwartz and Corman families come from? Also, I am generally seeking contacts in the Schwartz and Corman families that may have genealogical info. I will be pleased to share what info. I have assembled so far.

Jesse HALL, lived out his later life in Monroe Co.,later it was Brown Co. Jesse was b.abt 1785/86 in Wilkes Co.,NC to John HALL (1754-1838) & Barsheba Palmer HALL. After Ashe Co was organized we find them there in 1800. By 1811 Jesse and parents are in Floyd Co.,KY where he married Rebecca FLEETWOOD, dau of Isaac FLEETWOOD. After the death of John HALL in 1838 we find Jesse in Monroe Co.,and the death of Rebecca. In 1841 Jesse married Malinda HANSON dau of James HANSON and Rebecca HANSON. From this union were born more children. It is said that Jesse had about 25 children. Most lived in the Monroe Co.,area. The last was born after his death in 1859. He is buried in Deckard Cem in Brown Cem. Do you know this family? Please help me identify all of the children. Rob Woods

Spouse: Israel Yoder George Jackson (c1827 IN-1896 Kansas). Spouse: Margaret Yoder George and Margaret (Yoder) Jackson moved from Brown Co., Ind. to Harrison Co., MO and then to Kansas. John Jackson (c1812/1815 TN-1869 Monroe Co.). Spouse: Sarah Ann Yoder Mary "Polly" Jackson (1821-aft. 1880). Spouse: Jacob Yoder Jacob and Mary (Jackson) Yoder relocated from Monroe Co. to Brown Co. about 1841. All of the above Yoders were siblings. What connection to each other did the Jacksons have?
