Do you have records you would like to share with others? We are looking for volunteers to share the information and records they may have accumulated during their searches. You can contact Shalamar Joe for information on how to submit your data to be included in the USGenWeb Indiana Archives Project, or simply use one of the two links above to contribute your information right away! We are looking for any records that you are willing to contribute. Don't forget to make sure what the copyright laws are before submitting information. We need everyone's help with the archives. ORANGE COUNTY

CENSUS IMAGES

"The donation of the 1840 Orange County Census images for permanent, free display in the USGenWeb Archives was made possible through the generosity of Thomas B. Agan (labooski@gate.net) and the permission of S-K Publications www.skpub.com/genie/. These census images are copyrighted by S-K Publications and are not to be republished or redistributed without their permission. The images are also available on CD (in a higher-quality format that was reduced when they were converted to .GIF files for the Web) from S-K Publications, PO Box 8173, Wichita KS 67208-0173."

The name of each image file is the page number. (In the case of 1880, 1900, 1910, and 1920 census, the file name includes both the Enumeration District and the page number.) The 1840 Orange County, IN, Census contains 113 pages (census images), numbered 01 through 58B. ALL OF THE NAMES ARE MISSING FROM PAGE 04A ON THE MICROFILM (that part of the page appears to have been cut off). Page 28A and 56B were not copied from the microfilm, as they are blank.
