enlisted Jan. 2, 1862, mustered into 3rd Regiment, Co. I on Jan. 10, 1862.
Remarks:  He was taken prisoner May 4, 1863 at Salem Heights, Va.; Paroled May 15,
1863; Deserted July 28, 1864; Returned Sept. 16, 1864; Dishonorably discharged Jan.
14, 1865."
