MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC - WILLS - Ann Neely, 7 Oct 1798

In the name of God Amen. The 7th day of October in the year of our Lord 1798. 
I Ann Neely of the County of Meclinburg & State of No. Carolina being very
sick & weak of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for the
same, And calling to mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is
appointed for all men once to die do make & ordain this my last Will &
Testament.  And principally & first of all I recommend my soul into the hands
of God that gave it, My body to be buried in a Christian like & decent manner,
nothing doubting but I shall receive the same again by the might Power of God.
And as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me
in this life I give & dispose of the same in manner and form following, that
is to say------

I give & bequeath to my son Moses Swann nine pounds.

I give & bequeath to my son Thomas twenty five pounds & saddle bridle

I give & bequeath to my son Jonathan fifty pounds.

I give & bequeath to my daughter Nancy Calhoon thirty pounds & a feather bed &
furniture & my saddle my spinning wheel & cards.

I give & bequeath to my daughter Peggy Swann thirty pounds, a feather bed &
furniture.

I give & bequeath to my daughter Hannah sixty pounds.

______[torn] my property to be sold excepting my cloaths which shall be
divided amongst my three Daughters.  But if the amount of the sale will more
than pay my Legatees-the remainder shall be equally divided amongst the
children of Thomas Neely Decd.the father of said children

And I do hereby constitute & appoint my trusty friends John & Moses Neely my
lawful Executors.

And I do hereby utterly revoke & disannul all other former wills & bequeasts
by me before this time named.  Ratifying & confirming this and no other to be
my last will & Testament.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand &
seal the day & year first above written.
