Will of Jane C. Lawing (Jane C. Waddell, b. January 04, 1804, d. October 05, 
1866, buried at Paw Creek Cemetery, Mecklenburg County, NC, marriage bond 
March 07, 1820 to William A. Lawing, son of Andrew Obedience Bradshaw Lawing)

Will dated 12/8/1964, recorded: Book J, page 227, Mecklenburg County, 
North Carolina

I, Jane C. Lawing, of the County of Mecklenburg and State of N. Carolina being 
of sound mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament as follows 
that is to say that my Executor or Administrator shall provide for my body a 
decent burial and have [a] head stone erected over my grave and pay for the 
same together with my just debts our of the money that first come unto his hand.
Item 1st I will and devise to my son George A. Lawing one dollar.
Item 2nd I will and devise to my daughter Margaret Lawing one dollar.
Item 3 I will and devise to my daughter Fanny W. Hipp one dollar.
Item 4 I will and devise to my daughter Amelia Hipp one dollar.
Item 5 I will and devise to my granddaughter Frances I. Hipp one cow, a bed and 
one counterpane.
Item 6 and last I will and devise to my youngest daughter Easther Cathey Lawing 
all the balance of my estate real and personal which I own at my death.

In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this the 8th day of 
December 1864.
