Legion Post is Formed of Fort Mill Soldiers

Fort Mill, S.C., Nov 12 - At a dinner given at the Palmetto hotel by the
members of Company G. 118th infantry, (Fort Mill light infantry) a temporary
organization of the American legion was effected with Captain F. Murray Mack
as commander, Captain George W. Potts as vice commander, and Lieutenant Arthur
C. Little as adjutant.

The dinner was presided over by Lieutenant Colonel Thomas B. Spratt and was
attended by a number of the prominent members of the late company. Guests of
the company were Major Lindsay McFadden, Lieutenant J.C. Dozier, Lieutenant
Hiram Hutchison, and Lieutenant B. Jennings White, of Rock Hill, all of whom
made short addresses.

The affair was one of unusual pleasure as each guest was required to give some
of his experiences overseas and, as the company saw some of the hardest
fighting in France, a number of the men being more or less severly wounded,
the stories were of unusual interest.
