Mecklenburg COUNTY, NC - DEEDS - David Russell to James Semianes Russell, 28 May 1810 -------- Copied from the original paper in the bible of David Green Russell (1819-1895) This indenture made the Twenty eighth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten between David Russell of the county of Cabarrus and state of North Carolina on the one part and James Semianes Russell of the county of Mecklenburgh and state aforesaid, son of the said David Russell of the other part witnesseth that the said David Russell as well for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he hath and beareth unto the said James Semianes Russell his son as also for the better maintenance and prefirment of the said James Semianes Russell hath given granted alined _____ and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant alien ____ and confirm unto the said James Semianes Russell all that mesuage on tenament situate lying and being in the county of Mecklenburgh beginning on the South side of Rocky River and Clear Creek beginning at the bank of said creek at a white oak Thomas Love's corner thence with his line south twenty degrees East one hundred and twenty three poles to a Jeremiah Clontz corner thence up said river to the beginning containing sixty six acres with all and singular its appentenancees and all Houses out houses and herattitsiment these unto belonging and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents and services of the said ________ and all the estate right title interst property claim and tenement whatsoever of him the said David Russell of in and to the said musuage or tenament lands and premises and of in and to every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances and all deed evidences and writing concerning the said premises only now in the hands or custody of the said David Russell on which he may get or come by without suit in law to have and to hold the said meuage or tenament lands and premises hereby given and granted or mentioned or intended to be given and granted unto the said James Semianes Russell his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said James Semianes Russell his heirs and assigns forever and the said David Russell for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant and grant to and with the said James Semianes Russel his heirs and assigns shall and lawfully may from herinforth forever hereafter peaceably and quietly have hold occupy possess and enjoy the said mesuage tenaments lands hereditiments and forc_____ hereby given and granted or mentioned or intended so to be with their apputenances free clear and discharged and from all former and other gifts grants bargains and sales behoffments jointures _______ estates entails rents rent charges arrearages of rents and of and from all other titles troubles charges and encomberances wharsoever had made commited done or suffered by him the said David Russell his heirs executors or administrators or any other person or persons lawfully claiming or to clame by from or under him them or any other of them in witness where of I have hereunto set may hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written.
