Henderson & Smith v. Samuel H. Walls

Original attachment levied on the following Negroes, to wit: Levins, Mary Ann 
and Jane

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendant/defendants, Samuel H. Walls reside beyond the limits of this State: 
It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for six 
successive weeks in the Charlotte Journal notifying said defendant non-
resident to be and Appear at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be 
held for Iredell County at the Court House in Statesville on the 3rd Monday in 
February next. Then and there to plead, answer or demur to issue or the 
property levied upon will be condemned and sold to satisfy Plaintiff's debt.
Witness J.F. Alexander, Clerk of the said Court at office on the 3rd Monday in 
November AD 1846.
