STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS    MECKLENBURG COUNTY
May Term 1835

JOHN SPRINGS, Surviving Partner of J. & E. SPRINGS
                 vs.
JOHN P. HODGE

Original Attachment -- Levied on Tract of land, property of defendant's, lying 
on Catawba River joining the lands of DAVID PARLTOW, WILLIAM PARLTOW and others

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the Defendant, JOHN P. 
HODGE, hath removed beyond the limits of this State. It is therefore ordered 
by the couort that publication be made in the Miners' and Farmers' Journal for 
six successive weeks notifying the said Defendent non-resident, to be and 
appear at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for said 
County at the Court House at Charlotte on the last Monday in August next. 
Otherwise judgment will be rendered against him for default. Witness BRALY 
OATES, Clerk of the said Court at Office on the 4th Monday in May, A. D., 1835.
