STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA       COURT OF EQUITY            MECKLENBURG COUNTY
Feb. Term, 1842

MATTHEW MILLER and ELIZABETH BUCHANAN
               vs.
E. W. ALEXANDER, JAS. J. WILLIAMS, WM. W. SIMMONS, and JOHN W. SIMMONS

Injunction

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendants, JAMES J. WILLIAMS, WM. W. SIMMONS and JOHN W. SIMMONS  are not 
residents of this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication 
be made for six weeks in the Charlotte Journal notifying said defendant to be 
and appear at the next term of the Court of Equity  to be held for the County 
of Mecklenburg at the Court House in Charlotte on the 4th Monday in August. 
Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwise, 
judgment will be taken pro confesso and heard ex parte as to him. Witness D. 
R. DUNLAP , Clerk of said Court at office on the fourth Monday in February, 
A.D. 1842.
