John Irwin v. Carter Crittenden

Original attachment levied in the hands of Joshua Trotter and him summoned as 
Garnishee.

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendant/defendants, Carter Crittenden reside beyond the limits of this 
State: It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for six 
successive weeks in the Charlotte Journal notifying said defendant non-
resident to be and Appear at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be 
held for said County at the Court House at Charlotte on the 4th Monday in 
April next. Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed: 
Otherwise judgment will be taken pro confesso and the matter will be heard ex 
parte will be made as to them.
Witness Charles T. Alexander, Clerk of the said Court at office on the 4th 
Monday in January AD 1845
