STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA     COURT OF EQUITY     MECKLENBURG COUNTY

SARAH A. HARRIS and others
        vs.
JOHN PENMAN and others 

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that HENRY BLUNDELL, WILLIAM 
SMITH, JAMES MAGNISS, HENRY HEATON, GEORGE D. LONGSTAFF, SOLOMON COHEL, 
ABRAHAM HARRIS, LEWIS AARONS, SAMUEL MAGNISS, CHARLES BOND, ABRAHAM HEAT, JOHN 
SAIK, DAVID WILSON and ISRAEL ISAACS are not residents of this State. It is 
therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made  for six successive 
weeks in the Charlotte Journal notifying said defendants, non-residents, to be 
and appear at our next Court of Equity to be held for the County of 
Mecklenburg at the Court House in Charlotte on the 3rd Monday in February.
Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwise 
judgment will be taken pro confesso and the matter heard ex parte as to them. 
Witness DAVID R. DUNLAP, Clerk of the said Court at office, on the 3rd Monday 
in August A. D. 1838.
