STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA  COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS   MECKLENBURG COUNTY
April Term, 1840

MARGARET A. DUNLAP
       vs.
The Heirs At Law of JOHN J. DUNLAP, dec'd

Petition for Dower

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that GEORGE H. DUNLAP, one of 
the heirs at law of JOHN J. DUNLAP, dec'd, is not an inhabitant of this State. 
It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for six 
successive weeks in the Charlotte Journal notifying said defendent to be and 
appear at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for said Couty 
at the Court House in Charlotte on the 4th Monday in July next. Then and there 
to plead, answer or demur or judgment by default will be taken against him.
Witness BRALY OATES, Clerk of said Court at office of the 4th Monday in April 
A. D. 1840.
