STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA   COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS  MECKLENBURG COUNTY
August Term, 1835

P. C. CALDWELL
    vs.
J. B. QUINBY

Orginial Attachment Levied in the hands of WM. J. ALEXANDER and JOHN PENMAN, 
and them summoned as Garnishees

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the Defendant, J. B. 
QUINBY, resides beyond the limts of this State: It is therefore ordered by the 
Court that publcation be made for six successive weeks in the Charlotte 
Journal notifying said Defendent, non-resident, to be and appear at our next 
Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for the said County at the Court 
House in Charlotte on the 4th Monday in November next. Then and there to 
plead, answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwise judgment by default 
will be rendered against him. Witness BRALY OATES, Clerk of the said Court at 
office on the last Monday in August, A.D., 1835.
