   DIED, on the 22nd ult., at Catawba Springs, WILLIAM HAMPTON ALEXANDER, only 
child of CHARLES T. (and CAROLINE E. ALEXANDER, deceased) aged five months and 
six days, leaving, besides a devoted relative and friends, a devoted father to 
mourn the loss of his first born.
