May 21, 1840     Charlotte Journal May 22, 1840
   -- At the solicitation of his friends, JAMES W. OSBORNE, ESQ., has 
consented to become a candidate to represent the County of Mecklenburg in the 
next Legislature in the Senate.
      At the solicitation of his friends, W. F. DAVIDSON, ESQ., has consented 
to become a candidate to represent the County of Mecklenburg in the next 
Legislature  in the House of Commons.
      At the solicitation of his friends, J. T. DRAFFIN, ESQ., has consented 
to become a candidate to represent the County of Meckenburg in the next 
Legislature in the House of Commons.
      At the solicitation of his friends, ELI STEWART, ESQ., has consented to 
become a candidate to represent the County of Mecklenburg in the next 
Legislature in the House of Commons.
