Jacob RHODES to James RHODES

21 Feb 1805

This Indenture made the 21st day of February one thousand eight hundred and five 
Between Jacob RHODES of Jones County of the State of No. Carolina of the one part 
and James RHODES of the same county and State aforesaid of the other part 
Witnesseth that I the said Jacob RHODES for and in consideration of the sum of 
fifteen pounds lawful money of this State have bargained and Sold unto the sd. 
James RHODES a certain tract or parcel of land in Jones County and on the North 
Side of Tuckahoe Creek and in the fork of sd. Creek and the joint Branch 
Beginning at the run of sd. Branch at a Stake in the center of a maple water oak 
and Black Gum S 25 W 24 poles to a Stake William PERRY corner of his patent 
thence with his line South 24 E 108 poles to a large cypress on the edge of the 
run of Tuckahoe Creek thence N 50 E 70 poles down the meanders of Sd. Creek to 
the mouth of the sd. Great Branch thence up the meander of the same to the first 
Station containing by estimation forty acres more or less and I the said Jacob 
RHODES Doth for myself my heirs Executors administrators  or assigns Doth hereby 
Quit all my claim title ordinance of sd. land to him the said james RHODES his 
heirs and assigns forever and I the said Jacob RHODES here unto set my hand and 
affixed my seal, this day and date above written.
