HECK, Mrs. Robert G. (nee Mary Ann MIKEL)

Age 87. Passed away Sunday, September 3, 2000, at Racine, Wisconsin. Mrs.
Heck was born in Uhersky Brod, Czechoslovakia, on September 5, 1912. She
came to the United States in 1914, and lived the remainder of her life in
Racine. She was the daughter of John Mikel and Anna (Pastrykova) Mikel.
Mary attended St. John Nepomuk and Washington Junior High School before
graduating from a Chicago beautician school.

On June 29, 1935, she was united in marriage to Robert G. Heck with whom she
celebrated their 60th anniversary in June, 1995. Robert died in an
automobile accident on August 17, 1995.

Survivors include three sons and daughter-in-law, Gary (Carol) Heck of
Westminster, SC, Robert J. (Gloria) Heck of Greendale, WI, Donald G.
(Sharon) Heck of Racine; eight grandchildren, Cindy Landrum of West Pelzer,
SC, Lee Heck of West Allis, WI, Tracy Brack of Racine, Jodi Brack of
Westminster, SC, David A. (Judi) Heck of Oak Creek, WI, Bill S. (Tracy) Heck
of Racine, Steven D. Heck of Norwich, CT, Amy M. (Adam) Tappen of Crystal
Lake, IL; great grandchildren John and P. J. Landrum, Nathan Tappen, Laina,
?, ?, Austin Brach, She is further survived by a sister, Otilia Mikel of
Racine, and two sister-in-law, Frances Heck of Racine and Bernice Heck of
Racine, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was also
preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Joan (Auterman) Heck, a brother and
sister-in-law, Bohumil (Eloise) Mikel, and a sister and brother-in-law,
Lydia (Harvey) Nelson.
