At a Surrogate's Court held in and for the County of Ulster, at the
Surrogate's office in the City of Kingston in said County, on the 26th day of
November 1894.

Present - Hon. James A. Betts, Surrogate

The Last Will and Testament of Jane H. Wodd admitted to probated and proved as
a Will of real and person estate which together with the proofs in relation
thereto in as follows:

In the name of God Amen, I Jane H. Wood of the town of Fallsburgh, County of
Sullivan, State of New York in the fifty-ninth year of my age and being of
sound mind and memory Do make publish and declare this my last Will and
Testament as follows viz:

First. I give and bequeath to my husband Simon K. Wood during his natural life
the interest or dividend on Six hundred dollars of the capital stock of the
first National Bank of ellenville and three hundred of the capital stock of
The Home National Bank of ellenville and I hereby direct that said interest be
paid to him annually or semi-annually as it is received.

Second. I give and bequeath to my son Abraham Newkirk my House and Lot in
Homavack and my Bureau and half my Books and at the death of my husband Simon
K. Wood the Three hundred dollars Home National Bank Stock and tow hundred
dollars of First National Bank stock.

Third. I give and bequeath to my son Elias Newkirk my Farm near Centerville
with the implements, utensils, stock &c on the same, my Book case and half the
Books I have, and at the death of my Husband, Simon K. Wood, Two hundred
dollars of first National Bank Stock, my Farm named in this article I give
subject to a Mortgage of one thousand dollars Dated September 14, 1885 also my
top waggon or Buggy.

Fourth. I give and bequeath to my Granddaughter Jennie Newkirk, daughter of my
son Harvey Newkirk (deceased) one bed and bedding complete including two pair
sheets one pair Pillows and cases one Bolster two comfortables and oneq uilt
pieced but not quilted and one Gilt framed mirror and one set china dishes
(tea set).

Fifth. I give and bequeath to my Granddaughter Jennie Newkirk Daughter of my
Son Elias Newkirk one Bed and Bedding complete including two pair sheets one
pair Pillows and two pair cases one Bolster two comfortable one pieced quilt
not quilted one Light colored Bedstead, one set best cane bottom chairs
including two Rockers, one set my best Dishes, my best Looking Glass one
Extension Table one Marble Top Table one Small Mahogany Table, formerly my
Mother's one Set Knives and Forks, and one Set Tea Spoons and one Wash Bowl
and Pitcher.

Sixth. I give and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Hattie Newkirk Daughter of my
Son Elias Newkirk one Bed and Bedding complete including two pair Sheets one
pair Pillows and two pair cases one Bolster two comfortables one pieced quilt
not quilted one Dark colored Bedstead one Set Dishes one Set cane bottomed
chairs one Large Cherry Table one Stand one Mahogany Frame Looking Glass one
wash Bowl and Pitcher one Dark colored Wash Stand.

Seventh. I direct my Executors hereinafter nominated and appointed to collect
a Note I hold against Willam Jones for two hundred Dollars and first pay a
Note of one hundred dollars given to Michael Molony about September 15th 1885
and use as much of the balance as is necessary when my Sister Elizabeth Powell
dies to give her a decent burial including Tomb Stone.

Eight. I direct that at the death of my Husband Simon K. Wood, one Share of
one hundred dolalrs First National Stock be set aside upon interest for the
benefit of Hattie and jennie Newkirk daughter sof Elias Newkirk my my son's
half for each to be paid to them respectively when they become twenty-one
years of age or when they or either of marry if they marry before arriving at
twenty-one years of age with the interest.

Ninth. I direct that at the death of Husband Simon K. Wood, one Share, First
National Bank Stock be set aside upon in interest and paid with the
accumulated interest to Evert J. Newkir, son of Elias Newkirk, when he becomes
twenty-one years of age.

Tenth. I direct that my Shawls and Wrap be put together. Arene Newkirk my Son
Abraham Newkirk's wife chose any article she please of the lot and Katie
Newkirk, my son Elias Newkirk's wife take the balance for herself and her two
Daughters Hattie and Jennie.

Eleventh I direct that my clothing carpets and Bedding not otherwise devised
be divided into four equal parts as to value as near as is practicable and
given to Arene Newkirk, wife of Abraham Newkirk, Katie Newkir, wife of Elias
Newkirk, and Hattie and Jennie Newkirk daughters of Elias Newkirk Share and
Share alike.

Twelfth I direct that any and all my furniture or personal effects of any Kind
wherever situated be divided between my two Sons Abraham and Elias Newkirk
Share and Share alike or if they so elect they may sell them at public or
private sale and divide the money.

Thirteenth and last, I nominate and appoint my Husband Simon K. Wood and my
son Abraham Newkirk executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby
revoking all forme rWills by me made.

In witness whereof I have hereinto set my hand and Seal this fifth day of
March one thousand eight hundred and eighty seven.

Subscribed by the testatrix in the presence of each of us and at the time
declared by her to us as her Last Will and Testament and at her request we
signed it as witnesses thereto.

In the matter of Proving the Last Will and Testament of Jane H. Wood,
Deceased}
Ulster County ss:

Arthur Jones and Julia Jones of the Town of Wawarsing in the County of Ulster
being first duly sworn in open court, on their oatsh depose and say, that they
are subscribing witnesses to the Last Will and Testament of Jane H. Wood late
the Town of w|awarsing in the County of Ulster, deceased; and these deponents
further say, that the said deceased did in the rpesence of these deponents
subscribe her name at the end of the instrument which is now here shown these
deponents, and which purports to be the Last Willa nd Testament of the said
deceased, and which bears date the fifth day of March in the year one thousand
eight hundred and Eighty Seven; thjat the said deceased did, at the time of
subscribing her name to the same instrument as aforesaid, declare the same to
be her Last Will and Testament; that these deponents did thereupon subscribe
their own names at the end of the said instrument, as attesting witnesses to
the execution thereof, at the request of the said deceased, and in her
presence, and in the presence of each other; and that the said deceased, at
the time of subscribing her name to the said instrument as aforesaid, was
upwards of twenty-one years of age; that she appeared to be of sound mind and
memory, and was not under restraint, to the knowledge and belief of these
deponents.
