At a Surrogate's Court held in and for the County of Ulster, at the
Surrogate's Office in the city of Kingston, in said County, on the 4th day of
March 1895.

Present Hon. James A. Betts, Surrogate

The Last Will and Testament of Harriet C. Lockwood was admitted to probate and
proved as a Will of real and personal estate which together with the proofs in
relation thereto, is as follows:

In the name of God, amen, I Harriet C. Lockwod of the Town of Mamakating in
the County of Sullivan and State of New York, of the age of sixty one years,
and being of sound mind and memory do make, publish and declare this my last
will and testament in manner following that is to say:

First on account of Kindnesses shown my mother by my brother in law Alexander
Bell I give and bequeth unto the said Alice Bell the use and benefit and
control during the term of his natural ife of all my real and pesonal estate
of whatever name or nature, not herein otherwise, disposed, of, and
particulary all the money or securities due me or to become due me from the
estate of my uncle Uriah Lockwood, late of the Village of Saugerties, in the
County of Ulster, N.Y. deceased.

Second on the death ofthe said Alexander Bell, I desire that the above
mentioned propety devised to him shall go and pass to my niece Sarah Maria
Bell and my nephew Alexander L. Bell as follows: two thirds of said property
to my said niece Sarah Maria Bell, and one third thereof to my said nephew
Alexander L. Bell; the amount hereby devised to my said niece to be hers
absolutely, and the amount hereby devised to the said Alexander L. Bell, to be
his during the term of his natural life and on his death to pass and belong to
his daughter Lilian May Bell, and I hereby so give and bequeath the same.

Third, I give and bequeath to the said Sarah Maria Bell my niece all my
Jewelry of whatever name or nature, all my wearing apparel, beds and bedding,
books and pictures, and on the death of the said Alexander Bell, all my plate
and silverware.

And as my last request I desire that my insane sister Emma C. Lockwood, shall
remain and live during the term of her natural ife, with the said Alexander
Bell and his family, and I hereby enjoin upon them the duty of properly and
tenderly caring for her.

Lastly, I appoint the said Alexander Bell sole executor of this my last will
and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the twenty second
day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one.

The above instrument consisting of two sheets was at the date thereof signed
sealed, published and declared by the said Harriet Lockwood, as and for her
last will and testament, in presence of us, who at her request and in her
presence and in the presence of each other subscribed our names as witnesses
thereto.

In the matter of Proving the Last Will and Testament of Harriet C. Lockwood,
Deceased}
Ulster County ss:
Charles Irwin of City of Kingston, in said County, and Maurice E. Stanton, of
Wurtsboro, Sullivan County, New York being first duly sworn in open court, on
their oaths depose, and say, that they are subscribing witnesses to the Last
Will and Testament of Harriet C. Lockwood late of the town of Wawarsing in the
County of Ulster, deceased; and these deponents further say, that the said
deceased did in the presence of these deponents, subscribe her name at the end
of the instrument which is now here shown these deponents, and which purports
to be the Last Will and Testament of the said deceased, and which bears date
the 22nd day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty one;
that the said deceased did, at the time of subscribing her name to the same
instrument as aforesaid, declare the same to be her Last Will and Testament;
that these deponents did thereupon subscribe their own names at the end of the
said instrument, as attesting witnesses to the execution thereof, at the
request of the said deceased, and in her presence, and in the presence of each
other; and that the said deceased, at the time of subscribing her name to the
said instrument as aofresaid, was upwards of twenty-one years of age, that she
appeared to be of sound mind and memory, and was not under restraint, to the
knowledge and belief of these deponents.

Recorded the preceding Last Will and Testament of Harriet C. Lockwood as a
Will of real and personal estate, which together with the proofs in relation
thereto is now here signed and certified by me this 4th day of March 1895.
