William was born to Caroline Williams Taylor and William Green Taylor on 
December 11, 1862.  He married Minnie Wilkins and they had five children: 
Sallie Caroline, William James, Horace David, Susie Mae, and Benjamin Oliver 
Taylor. He died on October 11, 1924.

Death and Funeral of Mr. Taylor             Oct 11, 1924
The funeral of William E. Taylor, widely known Lenoir County resident, was 
held at a private cemetery in the Woodington section Sunday. He died here late 
Saturday, having been brought to Kinston for treatment. Mr. Taylor ws a 
resident of the Neuse community near here. He was extensely related. Three 
children surviving are Mrs. Susie Rouse, Benjamin Taylor and Mrs. Sallie 
Sutton, all of the city or county.
