A son of William Gaston Fordham Jr. and Caroline Branch Sutton Fordham, Cecil 
was born  December 20, 1919. As a child,he contracted a virus that left him 
deaf. He died Sept 26, 1942 in a motorcycle accident.
 
 
obit reads:
Kinston Youth Dies
Accident Near Dover
Rites at 4 Monday
Cecil Earl Fordham, 22, of near Kinston, was killed and ...a friend, 19, 
riding on the motorcycle suffered a broken arm, when Fordham's vehicle stuck 
an automobile in a headon collision near Dover  Saturday night...Rites for 
Fordham will be from the home of his mother, Mrs. Caroline Sutton Fordham, 
near the city, at 4pm Monday, with burial in the Williams cemetery in the 
Woodington section. Surviving with his mother, are a brother, Grover, of 
Kinston; three sisters, Miss Cebie Fordham, one at Kinston and one in New York.
