South Lenoir motorcylist dies following crash Tuesday.
Car's driver charged in teen's death, officials say

A teen-age motocyclist who collided with a station wagon Tuesday died from his
injuries, and the car's driver was charged Thursday in his death.

Dennis Deans, 18, of N.C. 58 South, died at Lenoir Memorial Hospital just
after the crash, hospital authorities said. Authorities delayed release of his
name until his mother could be notified of his death.

Dean's girlfriend, Amanda Sanders, 17, of Southerland Drive, was a passenger
on his motorcycle. She suffered fractures but was released Thursday from Pitt
County Memorial Hospital, officials said.

The station wagon driver, Mike Ezzell, 40, of Elm Grove Road, was charged with
misdemanor death by motor vehicle, NC Highway Patrol officials said.
