Died at his residence on Mickasooky Lake
on Sunday, the 18th instant, in the 64th year
of his age, Col. Richard Parish.
Col. Parish was a native of Hanover County
North Carolina, and one of the earliest pioneers

relations of life he was eminently a man of high
character and sterling virtue.
As a husband, father, friend and neighbor
his memory will long be cherished, and his loss
deeply deplored by a widely extended circle of
friends and relations.
