Indian War To the south and east of us the Indians are committing horrible outrages. Up to the Suwannee river, except one or two small fortifications, they have absolute control. Below that river, Col. Richard C. Parish, with about 200 volunteers from middle Florida, is gallantly fighting every inch of ground. On the Suwannee, we have three or four companies stationed, who have had some fighting, and have so far maintained their ground, with some loss of life. On the 26th inst. they will be reinforced by about 500 men from middle Florida.
