Lenoir County, NC - Will of Lewis Whitfield, 1848 - Addendum

Mentioned in the will of Lewis Whitfield is his place called "Paradise"
and a platt of the town was included with the will papers.

.....I hereby authorize my Executor to Sell a Certain Peace of Land at 
Cooks Hammock near the Town of Beaufort now laid off in Lotts as pr Plan 
herewith annexed Called "Paradise" to be disposed of as will more fully 
appear by the Certificate on said Plan of the said Towns of "Paradise"  
I also Authorise my Executor to sell at Private or Public sale all my Lands 
on the Warter of North River in Cartret county including all my Lands on 
Turners creek Called Florida the Remaining part of my Lands adjoing 
"Paradise"..... 

Legend for Plan:

Letter A represents a Spring in Spring Street
Letters B C D E F G represents 17 acres of land adjoining Paradise
From North Edge of Middle Street to the Spring is 30 feet
From the East Side of Spring Street to the Spring is 10 feet
Course of Spring Street is North 22 East 6 pole wide & terminates
     30 feet north of the Spring
Course of Middle Street is East 3 poles wide
Course of Water Street is S 77 E. to Lott No. 6 thence East
