Lenoir Co Court of Equity April Term 1824

In March 1818 before Hon John L. Taylor one of the judges of the Superior 
Court in Lenoir Co came Isaac Coleman by his attorney William Gaston, his bill 
of complaint against Mary Coleman and John Crumpler  Mary Coleman represented 
by Morris Mordicai her attorney 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Mary Crumpler was really Mary Coleman 
NOTE: It is not clear if she was the widow of Thomas Coleman or a daughter  
the original Will would have to be consultee

29 Dec 1790 Thomas Coleman of Craven Co published his last Will and shortly 
thereafter died  Benjamin Coleman was one of his exec

Shadrack Loftin was one of the exec of Thomas Coleman  he agreed to sell 
Mary's interest in the Negroes descendants of Doll were Peter, Cherry, Rhoda, 
Bertie, Jesse, Ellick, Aig ??, Flora and Luke  Lewis and Martin were the 
children of Cherry and Frank was the son of Rhoda

Cherry and her child Martin hired to Shadrack Jackson  Rhoda and her child 
Frank hired to Thomas Ringgold and the rest in the possession of Mary Coleman 
 

On 26 Jan 1811  Luke was about 7 years of age, FLORA and Airy about 5 years of 
age
