The undersigned having been appointed by the court to divide the lands of the 
late Leander FAULKNER deceased among his heirs met on the premises for that 
purpose on the 25th day of October 1889 and after being duly sworn by J. G. 
PRICE, a Justice of the Peace examined the premises and made the following 
division: Lot no. 1) Beginning in the public road leading from Kinston to 
Belle Ferry at Olivia PHILLIPS corner and runs with her line S88 1/2 E. to 
Neuse River, then around the river to a stake then N88 1/2 W. to the public 
road, there with the public road, S1 1/2 W14 16/45 poles to the beginning 
containing thirty four acres valued at $360 which we have allowed to Samuel 
FAULKNER in severality  
Lot no. 2) Beginning in said road at the corner of lot no. one and runs S88 
1/2 E to Neuse River there down the river to a stake then N.88 1/2 W to the 
public road, then with the road S1 1/2 W15 5/25 poles to the beginning 
containing thirty seven acres valued at $360 which we have allowed to Horris 
and Carral DUPREE in severality; Lot No. 3, beginning in said road at corner 
of lot two and  runs S88 1/2 E to said river there down the rivers to a stake 
then N88 1/2 W to said road then with the road S1 1/2 W11 21/25 poles to the 
beginning contains third two acres valued at $360 to which we have allowed to 
H. C. FAULKNER, Lot no. 4, Beginning in said road at the corner of lot no. 3 
and runs S88 1/2E to the river, then down the river to a stake there N88 1/2 W 
to the said road, then S1 1/2 W14 2/25 poles to the beginning containing 
thirty seven acres valued at $360 to which we have allowed to Lizzie FAULKNER 
in severalty; Lot no 5, beginning in said road at the corner of lot four and 
runs S88 1/2 E to the river then down the river to a stake, then N88 1/2 W to 
the said road then with the road S1 1/2 W 13 2/25 poles to the beginning 
containing thirty seven acres, valued at $360 in which we have allowed to 
Benjamin FAULKNER in severality; Lot no. 6 beginning in said road at the 
corner of Lot no. 5 and runs S 88 1/2 E to the river then down the river to a 
stake then N88 1/2 W to the said road then with the road S1 1/2 W12 11/25 
poles to the beginning containing thirty severn acres valued at $360 in which 
we have allowed to Louisa BLAND wife of Richard BLAND in severality, Lot no. 
7, beginning at lot no. six in said public road and runs S88 1/2 E to the 
river, thence down the river to Rebecca FAULKNER'S line then with her line N88 
1/2 having thirty five acres valued at $360 which we have allowed to Q. A. 
FAULKNER in severality.
The Gin house being on lots No. 1 & 2 the dividing line be allowed the whole 
of and gin house to Lot No. 1 with the right to remove it on said Lot No. 1, 
after the termination of the dower of said Rebecca FAULKNER.
 of which is respectfully submitted under our hands and seals this day of 
1889.
