On the first, blank, page under the front cover of the Bible there is 
penned the words "Oxley Family Bible".

In the center of the Bible there are four pages for the recording of 
marriages, births and deaths.  Below is the transcript of these pages.

Marriages:
Augustus Oxley and Lizzine Gardner was married 15th day of December 1854

Daniel Andrews and Sarah A Oxley was married 15th day of Apr 1888

Willie Oxley and Ella (sp.) Opeen? Was married 18 of February 1897

John B. Oxley and Eliza Wood was married 25 of April 1897

George W Andrews and Lizzie E Oxley was married 24 of March 1902

Dempsey J Jones and Amanda G Oxley was married 16 Aug 1905

Harvey Lee Oxley and Ruth Albritton was married Dec 5th 1935

Harry Lee Quin and Ethel Oxley was married Dec 7th 1935


Births:
Eliza Turnage was born on Saturday in the afternoon July 29th in the year 
of our lord 1809

Augustus Washington Oxley was born May the 4th in the year of our lord 1831

Elbirt H Oxley was born June 26th in the year of our lord 1832

Willis B Oxley was born April 3th in the year of our lord 1834

Elias G Oxley was born June 2nd in the year of our lord 1835

Charles Makinlay Oxley Son of James Oxley and Eliza was borned February 21st 
day 1831

Martha Ann Eliza Caroline Daughter of the Same was born the 11th April 1842

Christopher M Oxley was born the 12th march 1846 in the yur of our lord
