THE HOLY BIBLE CONTAINING THE OLD AND NEW TESTMENTS - New York,
published by George Lane and Levi Scott for the Methodist Episcopal
Church at the Conference Office, 200 Mulberry Street 1850
A copy of this Bible found at the Darlington Archives, in Darlington,
South Carolina by and transcribed by Martha Mewborn Marble
[NOTE: John Kilpatrick was a son of Easley Kilpatrick who lived on Wheat
Swamp on the border between Lenoir and Greene County. He had a brother
Easley as proven by a Craven District Court Civil Action Case. John
Kilpatrick moved to Darlington County, SC, but he may have made a short
stop in Cumberland County, NC. Some of John's descendants moved to
Sumpter County, SC and then on to Henry County, Alabama. The Easley or
Isler mentioned in this Bible record moved back to Darlington County
where his children appeared to have lived. --mmm]
