James Dow came to Warren, from Plaistow, N. H., in 1797, and located on
the farm where William Swain now lives. He died in 1856, aged eighty-one
years. His son Jonathan M., the only one of the eight now living, was
born February 2, 1809, is a farmer, and resides here, on road 2.
