Bio: David Carr : Ashland, Grafton Co, New Hampshire From Gazetteer of Grafton County, NH 1709-1886 -Franconia Compiled & published by Hamilton Child 1886 David Carr, of English descent, was one of the first settlers in the town of Holdreness, locating upon a farm on road 9. Jacob, one of his five children, married Harriet, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Hackett) Beede. His son John B., one of the four children now living, married twice, first Ann F. Fogg, of Franklin, N. H., who bore him three children, and second, Jane H., daughter of Ira and Grace (Beede) Huckins, who has borne him one child, Mrs. Cora B. Jackson. He lives in this town on a farm on road 23. His other children are Mrs. Ella M. Bryant, now of Meredith, N.
