This Indenture made this 11th day of September in the Year of our Lord 1834 
Between Samuel Sharp of the County of Patrick and State of Virginia of the 
one part and John Cassel of the same County & State of the other part 
witnesseth that whereas John Gilbert by a certain Indenture of bargain and 
sale bearing date 27th day of September sold and conveyed to the said Samuel
Sharp in trust, a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the 
County Patrick and State aforesaid on the Waters of the South Mayo River and
supposed to contain One hundred & five acres be the same more or less and 
bounded as follows to wit Begining at a poplar on a branch then running west
to E Sheltons line now A. Staples,s line thence with the said Staples line 
a Southwardly course Leeks line thence with said Leeks line Eastwardly 
crossing a small branch to the Creek just mentioned thence up said branch as
it meanders to the begining To secure the payment of a debt due from the 
said John Gilbert to A. Staples and whereas the said Saml. Sharp on the 15th
day of Novr. 1832 pursuant to the trust aforesaid reposed in him having 
first advertised the time and place of sale as prescribed in the said 
Indenture in trust offered the tract of Land above mentioned to the highest 
bidder for ready Money and A. Staples became the purchaser for the sum of 
$40 and afterwards the sid A Staples sold the sd. tract of Land to the said 
John Cassel for the sum of $150 and they both desiring that the said Land 
shou,d be conveyed to the said John Cassell -- Therefore the sd. Saml Sharp 
of the first part for and in consideration of the said sum of $40 to him in 
hand paid and in consideration of the premises and by virtue of the covenant
in the said Indenture in trust doth bargain and sell to the sd. John Cassel 
and his heirs forever the aforesaid tract of Land with all its appertenances
to have and to hold the sd. tract of Land with the appertenances unto the 
said John Cassel and his heirs forever and Saml Sharp for himself and his 
heirs doth covenant with the said John Cassel and his heirs that the said 
Saml Sharp for himself and heirs doth by these presents convey to the said 
John Cassel and his heirs all the right and Interest claim and demand either
in Law or equity -- which he acquired under the said Indenture in trust

In witness whereof the said Samuel Sharp hath hereunto set his hand and 
affexed his Seal the day and Year above written.
