The following marriage records were transcribed from copies of what appear to 
be microfilmed original marriage & marriage license records, including 
ministers' returns; the copies were sent to me by the Patrick County Court 
Clerk's Office.

Rachel Thomas & Silvester Webb:  p 300 - Minister's Return, Maning Hill - June 
10th day 1823 Silvester Webb and Rachel Thomas was married

Reuben Wells & Nancy Thomas:  p 308 - Minister's Return, Jno Washburn - April 
11th 1827 Reuben Wells & Nancy Thomas was married

Washington Thomas & Elizabeth Taylor:  p 300 - Minister's Return, Maning Hill  
- December the 26th day 1822 Washington Thomas and Elizabeth Taylor was married

Washington Thomas & Polly Frans:

p 369, from "A List of Marrages" in 1806 - Minister's Return, Maning Hill - 
Also March the 21st Day came Washington Thomas and Polley Franse Before Me and 
was Marred

p 428 - Marriage License -
Know all men by these presents, that we Washington Thomas & Wm Frans--- are 
held and firmly bound unto his excellency, Wm H. Cabbell governor or chief 
magistrate of the commonwealth of Virginia, in the just and full sum of one 
hundred and fifty dollars, to which payment well and truly to be made to our 
said governor or his successors, for the use of the said commonwealth, we bind 
ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators, jointly and severally, 
firmly by these presents:  Sealed with our seals and dated this 16th day of 
March 1806
The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage 
shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Washington 
Thomas & Polley Frans---
If therefore there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then the 
above obligation to be void, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
