LICENSE

Patrick County, to wit, I do hereby certify that William Sharp Jr. has 
performed the requisites required by law for obtaining a license to 
intermarry with Peney Fitzgerald of the said County of Patrick.  These are 
therefore to authorize license and permit you to Join together in the holey 
estate of Wedlock according to the rights and ceremonies of your Church the 
said Wm. Sharp Jr. and Peney Fitzgerald -- And for so doing this shall be 
your sufficient warrant.

    Given from under my hand at office this 24th day of Feb. 1811 in the 
35th year of the Commonwealth.

BOND

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS THAT We, Wm. Sharp Jr. and Harvey Fitzgerald 
are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency James Monroe Governor of the 
Commonwealth of Virginia, and his successors in office, in the just and full 
sum of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars.  To which payment well and truly to be 
made, we bind outselves our heirs, etc. firmly by these presents, sealed 
with our seals and dated this 24th day of February 1811 and in the 35th 
year of the Commonwealth.

THE CONDITION of the above obligation is such that whereas the said Wm. 
Sharp Jr. and Peney Fitzgerald hath this day obtained from the Clerk of the 
County of Patrick a LICENSE for his intermarying with Peney Fitzgerald of 
the said County of Patrick, now if there should be no lawful cause to 
obstruct, or why the said mariage, for which said license is granted, should 
or ought not to take place, then this obligation to be void.
