LICENSE

Patrick County, to wit
        I do hereby certify that Crawford Burnett has performed the 
requisites required by law for obtaining a licence to intermary with Veny 
Sharp -- of the said County of Patrick.  These are therefore to Authorize 
licence and permit you to Join together in holey state of Wedlock according 
to the rights and cerimonies of your Church the said Crawford Burnett and 
Veny Sharp -- and for so doing this shall be your sufficient warrant.  Given 
from under my hand at office this 29th day of December 1810 -- in the 35th 
year of the Commonwealth.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS THAT Crawford Burnett, Wm. & Leonard Sharp 
are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency John Tyler Governor of the 
Commonwealth of Virginia, and his successors in office, in the just and full 
sum of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars.  To which payment well and truly to be 
made, we bind ourselves our heirs, etc. firmly by these presents, sealed 
with our seals and dated this 29th day of December 1810 and in the 35th year 
of the Commonwealth.

THE CONDITION of the above obligation is such that whereas the said Crawford 
Burnett hath this day obtained from the Clerk of the County of Patrick a 
LICENSE for his intermarying with Veny Sharp of the said County of Patrick, 
now if there should be no lawful cause to obstruct, or why the said mariage, 
for which said license is granted, should or ought not to take place, then 
this obligation to be void.
