DEED 
ADAM McCLINTOCK and WIFE
TO
 ANDREW C. PORTER


DEED	 Allegheny County Pennsylvania                        May 1, 1839       

	This Indenture maid the first day of May in the year of one thousand 
eight hundred and thirty nine. Between Adam McClintock of Ligonier Township in 
the county of Westmoreland and State of Pennsylvania and Margaret his wife of 
the one part and Andrew C. Porter of Plum Township in the county of  Allegheny 
and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said. Adam 
McClintock and Margaret his wife for and in consideration of the sum of 
fifteen hundred dollars and other incumbrance, lawful money of Pennsylvania in 
hand well and truly paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the 1st 
Adam McClintock and Margaret his wife hath granted bargained and sold and by 
these presents doth grant bargain and sell release enfeoff and confirm unto 
the said Andrew C. Porter his heirs and assihns, All those Messuages also all 
woods, ways, waters, water courses, prophets, advantages, hereditaments, 
appertenances whatsoever to the 1st Messuage above mentioned belonging or in 
any wise appertaining to a certain tract of Land situate in Plum Township is 
said county of Allegheny bounded and described as follows;  Viz: Beginning at 
a White Oak, thence by Land of Wm McKage, North sixty degrees West, seventy 
seven perches to a White Oak, thence by Land of Henry Morison North two 
degrees West one hundred and eighty five perches along David Caldwells line to 
a White oak, thence by Land of David Herrings heirs North thirty seven 
degrees. East one hundred and sixty seven perches to a White oak, thence along 
other lands of which this is a part to the place of beginnings, containing one 
hundred and fifty four acres some perches and allowance of six per cent for 
roads. Being a part of a tract of Land called Hopewell, containing three 
hundred and ninety five acres and three eights and allowance surveyed in 
presence of a Warrant granted to John McKee, dated the first day of July, 
1784, and which the commonwealth of Pennsylvania by patent bearing date the 
11th day of February 1701 enrolled in the Tolls Office for the State of 
Pennsylvania patent Book No 15 page 462 granted unto the said John McKee, new 
by deed bearing date the 30th day of March 1792 and recorded in the office for 
the recording deed in and for the county of Allegheny in  Book B page 526 and 
527. granted and conveyed unto Andrew McClintock and the said Andrew by deed 
bearing date the 19th of June 1827 to Adam McClintock . It being a part of the 
above mentioned tract of Land called Hopewell situate on the Waters of Turtle 
Creek. Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the aforesaid Adam McClintock and 
Margaret his wife for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen hundred 
dollars, lawful money and other Incumberance to them in hand paid by the 
aforesaid Andrew C. Porter at and before the sealing and delivering of these 
presents the parties whereof  do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and 
sold relist and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain and sesll 
relieve and confirm unto the afore mentioned Andrew C. Porter his heirs and 
assigns forever the above described tract of Land Together with all and 
singular the buildings improvements roads ways water watercourses , rights, 
privileges, hereditaments and apertainances to the same belonging thereto, To 
have and to hold the same above described tract of land containing one hundred 
and fifty four acres some perches and allowance and to the afore said Andrew 
c. Porter his heirs assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said 
Andrew C. Porter his heirs and assigns forever and the said Adam McClintock 
and Margaret, his wife  for themselves their heirs and assign forever, that 
the said Adam McClintock and Margaret his wife, the  last described tract of  
one hundred and fifty four acres some perches with the allowance and 
apertainances to the said Andrew C. Porter his heirs assigns against them 
their heirs and assigns and all other persons lawfully claiming or to claim 
the same shall and will Warrant and defend forever by these presents, In In 
Witness   the   parties have hereunto  set their hand and seal the day and 
year above written.

{seal} Westmoreland County SS Before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace 
in and for said county personally came the within named Adam McClintock and 
Margaret his wife, and acknowledged the foregoing and acts of writing to be 
their act and deed. The said Margaret being of full age and by me examined 
apart from her husband acknowledged that she did voluntarily and of her own 
consent sign the same without any coercion the part of her husband, In 
Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of May

Received from Andrew C. Porter the sum fifteen hundred dollars. The 
consideration in full in the within deed mentioned . Witness my hand the 1st 
day of May A.D. 1839
