[This deed 11-24-1834 witnessed by Hugh McCurdy (Mary McCurdy's father-in-law)
appears to have been written by him.  Andrew McCurdy (Hugh's son) was justice of
peace in Robinson Twp at the time and at the time his land was owned by James

This Indenture, made the twenty-fourth day of November 

In the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-four BETWEEN Hugh
Glenn and Elizabeth his wife of the Township of Robinson, County of Allegheny and
State of Pennsylvania of the one part and Mary McCurdy of the Township, County and
State aforesaid of the [other] part

Witnesseth: That the said Hugh Glenn and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration
of the Sum of Three Hundred Dollars lawful money of the United States, to them in
hand paid by the said Mary McCurdy at or before the ensealing or delivery hereof,
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened,
enfeoffed, released, and confirmed , and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell,
alien, enfeoff, release, and confirm, unto the said Mary McCurdy her heirs and
assigns a certain lot or piece of land situate and being in said Township of
Robinson on Campbell's Run adjoining lands of James Andrews and Mary McCurdy,
bounded and described by the following lines viz. beginning at a post in the lane
thence north twenty four degrees east, sixteen perches to a post thence north sixty
-seven degrees west nineteen perches to a post including a spring thence south
twenty four degrees west fifteen perches to a post and south sixty-seven degrees
east eighteen perches to the place of beginning.  Containing one acre and one
hundred and twenty nine perches the same being part of a tract of land granted in
fee by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to John Wolf by patent dated March 19th 1791
and by deed dated July 8th 1795 by John Wolf to Hugh McCurdy recorded in Book 5 [4]
Page 215 in Pittsburgh and by deed dated December 21st 1804 from Hugh McCurdy to
Andrew McCurdy and by deed dated April 3rd 1830 from Andrew McCurdy to Hugh Glenn
recorded in Book O 2 Vol. 39 Folio 541.  Relation to of which being had fully and at
large appears.

TOGETHER WITH all and singular the buildings, improvements, woods, ways,
water-courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments, and appurtenances
whatsoever, thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining; and the reversions and
remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof; and, also, all the estate, right,
title, interest property, claim and demand whatsoever, of them the said Hugh Glenn
and Elizabeth his wife, their heirs, administrators and assigns in law or equity, or
otherwise howsoever; of, in and to the same:

To have and to hold the said described lot or piece of ground together with the
hereditaments and premises hereby granted, or mentioned, or intended so to be, with
the appurtenances, unto the said Mary McCurdy her heirs and assigns, to and for the
only proper use, benefit and behoof of her the said Mary McCurdy her heirs and
assigns, forever.  AND the said Hugh Glenn and Elizabeth his wife for themselves and
their heirs do covenant, promise, and agree, to and with the said Mary McCurdy her
heirs and assigns, by these presents that her the said Mary McCurdy and her heirs,
the said described lot of ground with the hereditaments and premises hereby granted,
with the appurtenances, unto the said Mary McCurdy her heirs and assigns, against
them the said Hugh Glenn and Elizabeth his wife and their heirs, and against all and
every other person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming, or to claim the same or
any part thereof the said Hugh Glenn and Elizabeth his wife shall and will warrant
and forever defend, by these presents.

In Witness Whereof, the said Hugh Glenn and Elizabeth his wife have hereunto set
their hands and seals the day and year above written.

Received, on the date of the above indenture, of and from the above named Mary
McCurdy the sum of  three hundred dollars in being lawful money of the United
States, being the consideration money above mentioned, in full.

BEFORE, Andrew McCurdy, one of the justices of the [peace] in and for said county
personally came the above named Hugh Glenn and Elizabeth his wife and acknowledged
the above indenture to be their act and deed, and desired the same might be recorded
as such.  She, the said Elizabeth Glenn his wife being examined separate and apart
from her said husband, and the contents of the said indenture being first made fully
known to her, declared that she did, of her own free will and accord, sign, and seal,
and as her act and deed, deliver the same, without any coercion or compulsion of her
said husband.  Witness the hand and seal of said Andrew McCurdy the twenty-fourth
day of  November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four.
