Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania)  15 Jan 1941
Mrs. Alice Philabaum Barr, widow of the late James Barr, a long time Justice of the
Peace in Mt. Pleasant township, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sara Hagerty,
of United, at one o'clock this morning. Mrs. Barr was 72 years, 8 months and 27 days
old. Surviving are the following children: James G. Barr of Detroit, Mich.; Charles
R. Barr of Pleasant Unity; Mrs. Stanley Briner of United; William J. Barr of United;
Mrs. Paul Hagerty of United; and John D. Barr of Youngstown, Pa. One brother and two
sisters Jahn A. Philabaum, of Greensburg; Mrs. Margaret Trimer of Mt. Pleasant RD 1,
and Marian E. Philabaum of Philadelphia; sixteen grandchildren and 6 great
grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at the Hagerty home in
United, on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of Rev. M. T. Hulahan and Rev.
M. J. Braugher. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Reformed Cemetery in Trauger.
