                             NOTICE

                   SALE OF LAND FOR PARTITION

By virtue of a decree of the Superior Court in the case of John 
C. Langston vs Effe Rouse, Curtis Rouse and others, obtained on 
the 16th day of January 1902, I as commissioner of said court, 
appointed by the said court in said case, will sell at the court 
house down in the town of Kinston, NC for cash to the highest 
bidder, on the 17th day of February, 1902 at about noon of said 
day, the following real estate for partition among the tenants in 
common there in, viz-  Said land lying and being in Contentnea 
Neck Township, Lenoir County, NC, and adjoining the lands of B. 
W. Canady, S. J. Langston & R. T. Langston, known as the lands of 
B. H. Langston, de cot(?) lands - containing about 160 acres more 
or less.  This January 16 1902.
