William Croom and others, brothers and sisters, and their issue of 
the whole and half blood on the part of the father of Hardee Croom, 
deceased 
versus 
Abram and Susanna Sheppard, and others, sisters and their issue of 
the half blood, on the part of the father and mother of Hardee Croom, 
deceased.

PETITION FOR PARTITION

It appearing from this petition, that several of the Heirs at Law of 
Hardee Croom of the County of Lenoir who died intestate some time 
about the month of November, 1807, reside or are absent out of the 
State - Ordered that notice be given to such and the heirs of said 
Hardee Croom, deceased, as reside or are absent out of the State, of 
the Filing of this Petition for Partition of his Lands, and an intention 
to apply to said Court, at the next Term thereof to be held at Kinston, 
on the first Monday of January next, for an Order to have Commissioners 
appointed to make partition of the Lands and Real Estate of said Hardee 
Croom, agreeably to the directions of the Acts of Assembly in such 
cases made and provided, as an Advertisement of this Order for six 
weeks successively, at the Court house of said County of Lenoir, or at 
three places in said County, and also in the State Gazette. A true Copy 
of the Minutes.
