Obituary from "The Kinston Daily Free Press", Kinston, N.C.,
Lenoir County. Handwritten date on bottom of obit, Thur. 13 Oct. 1892

Died
In Vance township, October 6, Mrs. Alice Taylor, wife of Mr. Simon B.
Taylor, in the 34th year of her age. She was a consistent member of the
Baptist church, a pure and devoted christian, a kind neighbor and one
who was loved by all who knew her. She leaves a husband, four children
and a host of friends and relatives to mourn their loss. Her body was
interred in the family burying ground at 3 p.m. on the 8th. Dr. H. D.
Harper leading in the burial services.
We extend to the bereaved family our sincere sympathy, and pray our
Father to sustain them in their trials.
