These obituaries that have been passed down in my family--they are newspaper clippings 
from Kinston, Lenoir Co.

DEATH OF MR. DUPREE----Aug.9,1928 William C. DUPREE, age 74, died last night at his 
home near Fairfield. He had been ill some time. Surviving him are a widow and two 
daughters. Mrs. D.I. SPENCE and Mrs. A.T.WADE, of Kinston, and a brother and sister, 
Mrs. Betty WATSON and James DUPREE. Burial will be had in Maplewood Cemetery this 
afternoon, at 5, preceded by a service at the house. Rev. B.P.SMITH, Disciples minister of 
Lynchburg, Va. will conduct the service. Pallbearers will be T.W.HEATH, Pete 
HARTSFIELD, W.H.SUTTON, John T. WHITFIELD, W.H.CATON, Verner ABBOTT. H. 
STADIEM and Ray WEST. The deceased was well known in the community.

next write up in the paper---August 9, 1928---

Mr. William C. DUPREE, 74 well known farmer living just outside the city died yesterday. 
The deceased is survived by his wife and two children, Mrs. D. I. SPENCE, and Mrs. 
A.T.WADE, both of city one brother and sister, Mr. James DUPREE and Mrs. Betty 
WATSON. The funeral will be held at 5:00 P.M. today at Mr. DUPREE'S home just outside 
the city on the Goldsboro highway. Rev. B.P. SMITH former pastor of the Christian 
Church will officiate.
