Kinston Free Press Friday, August 26, 1949
BLAND RITES SET 11 a,m, SATURDAY:  Funeral services for Miss Rose Bland who 
died at her home at the corner of Peyton Avenue and Herritage Street at 1 a.m. 
Friday following several months illness, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at 
the St. Mary's Episcopal Church, conducted bt Rev. E. F. Moseley.  Burial will 
follow in the Maplewood Cemetery.

Miss Bland, who was an active member of the St.  Mary's church and who served 
with the USO during the past war, is survived by her sister, Mrs. T. R. Lee of 
Kinston, and a number of nieces and nephews.  Pallbearers will be Billy Cobb, 
Albert Cooper, McRae Lamb, Bootsie Jeffress, H. F. Walters and Milam Muzinich.
