CLARK, JAMES B., was born in Orleans county, New York, April 21, 1860. He was 
reared on a farm, attended the public schools, and completed his education at 
the University of Michigan, where he was graduated in 1880.  He then went to 
Mount Carroll, Illinois, and engaged in the drug business one year.  In the 
spring of 1881 he came to Sioux Falls with a car load of horses, and when 
they had been disposed of he went into the real estate, loan and insurance 
business, in which he has continued to the present time. He was one of the 
organizers of the State Banking & Trust Company and is one of its directors.  
He is one of Sioux Falls best citizens, and takes an active part in all 
public matters.
